Many of us who don’t live on a coast, definitely don’t consume nearly enough seafood, both plant, and fish. 
I speak a lot about supplementing EFA’s, but here is a lovely, flavourful, high protein and nutrient-dense fish stew recipe for the cool months upon us. This meal will help to support gut health, brain health, and your immune system. Cool to warm and top with fermented food ( @just_shut_up_and_try_it ) for an added healthy punch. I would add Ginger & Turmeric Kraut.

 

Curry & Coconut Fish Stew

2 Tbsp coconut oil

2 onions, chopped

3" ginger

3 garlic cloves, minced

3 Tbsp curry powder

1/4 tsp turmeric

dash of cayenne (to your liking)

1 Tbsp sea salt

1/2 tsp ground black pepper

8 cups fish, chicken or vegetable stock

1 can full-fat coconut milk

1 can crushed tomatoes

1 red bell pepper, chopped

Fresh lime zest of 1-2 limes

2 lbs cod or haddock cut into bite-sized cubes

1/2 cup fresh cilantro

Avocado, diced to garnish
