I smell a rebirth…and a much-needed cleanse!

Ahhhh March. Hello!

Every year I wait for you and feel accomplished to make it to you from the cold depths of another winter. It’s where hibernation and re-birth meet eye to eye before continuing in their rightful and separate directions. It’s the time for Spring Equinox which marks the first day of astronomical spring and a wonderful time for a CLEANSE in every sense of the word.

It’s the time of year when I more than ever feel the need to journal, exercise, visit with friends and family, laugh, shake off the cobwebs, face the SUN and stretch! It’s a wonderful time to cleanse and mobilize the eliminative organs which usually take a hit over the winter.

I like to pay special attention to the liver. The liver has many jobs and one of them is to cleanse the blood and other internal organs of impurities and toxins. When we’re overburdened with toxins our bodies will respond in various ways, expressing various symptoms such as: allergies, muscle tension, acne or skin eruptions, nausea, headaches, irritability, PMS and fatigue. This list unfortunately goes on and on.

During this time I will consume ENZYME RICH VEGETABLES which are especially helpful in toning and strengthening the liver. One of my favourite ways to do this, is with a beautiful morning juice. What a wonderful way for the whole family to start the day! Dandelion, turmeric and beets grace my raw, live and enzyme packed juice.

1. 1 beet
2. 1 piece of Turmeric
3. Handful of dandelion
4. Piece of ginger
5. Pineapple
6. Lemon
7. 1 Just Shut Up and try it Gut shot or ¼ cup of Jun
